Buy a hot drink or lunch for NHS workers across Britain to say ‘thank you’!

The NHS is currently facing one of the biggest challenges in its history, and hospital workers are working tirelessly to save lives. A small gesture can help to make someone’s day, so we would like to invite you to join us in a saying a heartfelt thank you to our hospital heroes.

By making a donation to Royal Voluntary Service, you will provide a hot drink or lunch to Britain’s amazing NHS staff and help us to continue our services in local communities and hospitals.

Give just £3 to buy a hot drink or £5 to buy a lunch at one of our hospital shops and cafés, supporting patients and NHS staff.

"It feels like a little community"

Our hospital shops and cafés are so much more than simply buying food and drinks.

Having the Royal Voluntary Service coffee shop in the outpatients department meets so many needs for both patients and staff. It feels like a little community and always a welcoming space which feels almost ‘un-hospital like’, which is lovely when you’re having a challenging day and just need to step away.” Clinical Nurse Specialist, Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge

Fuelling NHS staff and patients

In nearly 200 hospitals across Britain, Royal Voluntary Service runs welcoming cafés and shops that provide much-needed refreshments, safe spaces, and friendly faces for our hard-working NHS staff and patients. Your donation will help show frontline workers our appreciation for their tireless efforts and support our vital volunteer work in hospitals and communities.

Here for our NHS

Since 1938, WVS, WRVS and today as Royal Voluntary Service, has inspired around three million women and men to give their time to help others. Whatever the crisis, wherever the need, we are on the frontlines in hospitals and communities throughout Britain.

Royal Voluntary Service provides essential services to tens of thousands of people each and every day. We support people at home, in communities, and in the NHS through a wide range of services, including helping those who are coming home from hospital alone, taking patients safely to and from their medical appointments, transporting people to buy their shopping or meet their friends, and by providing companionship for those who are isolated.

We also provide lunch clubs where older and vulnerable people can enjoy a hot meal in the company of others in a warm and friendly environment.
